What is KIBDRIVE?
KIBDRIVE is a project developed by a small team of students from EMU and NEU.
Our goal is to help students, tourists, foreigners, and local residents in Northern Cyprus reach taxis more quickly, while also helping taxi drivers find more customers.
KIBDRIVE is not a taxi company.
This system is a dispatch service that connects passengers with licensed taxi drivers.
Important Information
- We are not a foreign investment company
- We do not take any commission from taxi drivers
- This project is run by students
Our goal is not to change the taxi system, but to support it with modern technology.
How Does the System Work?
The system works very simply.
- When a customer requests a taxi, the passenger’s location is sent to a WhatsApp group created for drivers.
- The closest or available driver in the group can take the ride.
- Then the following information is sent to the customer:
- Your taxi plate number
- Your estimated arrival time
This way the customer knows which taxi is coming.
This Is Not a Contract
Joining KIBDRIVE does not mean signing a contract.
You can still:
- Continue picking up your own customers
- Continue working with the company you normally work for
KIBDRIVE is simply a system that offers additional customer opportunities.
Why KIBDRIVE?
Today, especially students and visitors, prefer requesting taxis through social media and modern apps.
The goal of KIBDRIVE is to help taxi drivers in Northern Cyprus reach this new digital demand.
Our Future Plans
In the future, we hope to develop a simple taxi-booking mobile app for Northern Cyprus.
However, for now the system is being tested through a WhatsApp dispatch system.
